The Story

Almost impossible to see, Ribbon Wraith moves as though it has become part of the ocean itself.

Its ribbon-like body twists effortlessly with the currents, allowing it to travel vast distances without wasting energy. By the time another creature notices its presence, Ribbon Wraith has usually disappeared into the darkness once again.

Some believe every sighting is a different individual. Others believe it is always the same creature.

Behind the Artwork

I wanted Ribbon Wraith to have a different personality from my other creatures. I gave it a long ribbon-like body so it looks like a snake mixed with a worm. I added spikes of different sizes to help protect it, and a fin-shaped tail so it can swim more smoothly through the water. I made the head orange so it stands out from other sea creatures, and you can even see its brain through the top, which makes it look even more unusual.
